We are looking for you because wine 🍷 flows through your veins.
As a sommelier, you play a key role in our sommelier team and make a significant contribution to the quality, professionalism and continuity of our wine service and the wine culture at our Familux Resort. With a strong presence in the restaurant, you will provide excellent wine advice, active sales support and exceptional guest experiences. At the same time, you will support the Head Sommelier with technical and operational issues, take responsibility for the daily implementation of the hotel's wine philosophy and contribute to the further development of the sommelier area according to clear professional guidelines.
Your main tasks:
Guest service
- Independent, professional wine advice for guests at a high professional level
- Recommendation of suitable wines for dishes according to defined pairing lines
- Active presence in the evening service with a focus on sales quality, depth of advice and service excellence
- Professional support of the service team in daily restaurant operations
- Looking after demanding guests and special guest situations
Professional role in the sommelier team
- Active support and professional guidance of junior sommeliers and service staff in day-to-day service
- Ensuring the implementation of the defined wine, service and quality standards
- Participation in in-house events, tastings and events
- Technical contact person in day-to-day operations in the absence of the Head Sommelier
Supporting the Head Sommelier
- Collaboration in the maintenance and updating of the wine list and information materials according to technical specifications
- Support with tastings, selections and preparatory work
- Assistance with operational and administrative wine issues (e.g. bottling, refills, inventories, controls)
Standards & Development
- Implementation of the defined guest service standards, quality and wine standards according to specifications
- Compliance with hygiene and safety standards
- Representation of the hotel's wine philosophy in daily contact with guests
- Participation in internal training and professional knowledge transfer within the team
Our requirements for you:
Professional qualifications
- Completed diploma sommelier training (Austria, IHK, WSET Level 3 or comparable) or equivalent, several years of professional experience with upscale wine service
- Several years of professional experience in the service and wine sector of the upscale hotel or catering industry is required
- Very good knowledge of service, wine knowledge, champagne and beverage knowledge
- Very good knowledge of German and English, other languages desirable

- Strong communication skills and enjoy direct contact with guests
