The Familux Resort in the Thuringian Forest
Over 105 family rooms and a romantic ensemble of 15 chalets will be built on the outskirts of Oberhof in the coming months. With a 120-metre-long double and single water slide, water games are guaranteed, while the soft play area over two floors, the go-kart track and the adventure playground will keep your eyes moist even when dry. The resort has been intelligently designed so that although the entrance is located directly in the village of Oberhof, the wonderful natural surroundings are also in harmony with the resort. The nature trail, for example, is right behind the house. The view of the valley is majestic, as the unspoilt Thuringian Forest in lush greenery provides relaxation and soothing air. As a state-approved resort, Oberhof is becoming increasingly important as a tourist destination.

Oberhof is a growing vacation destination. The traditional town offers numerous leisure activities for winter sports enthusiasts and summer lovers alike. The Lotto Thüringen Skisport-Halle is particularly ingenious, as it enables cross-country skiing 365 days a year. With a constant temperature of – 4° C and the best snow conditions, even July is no obstacle for cross-country skiing fans.
Hikers, on the other hand, will find a 168-kilometre high-altitude hiking trail from the Eisenach district of Hörschel on the Werra to Blankenstein on the Saale. Oberhof’s nature trail, on the other hand, is a fun way to explore the history of the region and the diversity of its flora and fauna.
Just how attractive Thuringia and Oberhof are for short breaks is shown by the travel time to the surrounding metropolises and urban centers: Leipzig (2 hours), Frankfurt/Main (2.5 hours), Berlin (3 hours) or Munich (3.5 hours)

At all Familux resorts, all employees enjoy an all-inclusive culinary offer. This starts in the morning with a breakfast buffet in the respective staff restaurants. Our employees are then offered a lunch buffet with hot dishes, vegetarian dishes and a salad buffet. Here, everyone has a choice of several dishes. In the afternoon, sweet snacks and savory sandwiches are available to our employees and dinner is also served as a buffet with hot and cold dishes. It is important to mention that great importance is attached to fresh products, high-quality preparation and a rich and varied selection at every meal.
In addition to the daily meal options mentioned above, employees have access to free hot and cold drinks (tap water, soda water, cola & lemonade, fruit juices, coffee and tea specialties) and snacks such as yoghurts, fruit bowls, fresh vegetables and biscuits/biscuits throughout the day.
Accomodation
We have one staff house in total, which can be reached on foot in around 5 minutes. Our staff house was built in 2023 and is therefore brand new. Each room is fully furnished and between 29m² and 59m² in size. In front of the house you will find a large parking lot and seating to relax. There is an elevator in the house. The fitness room in the hotel can of course also be used 24 hours a day.
