The Dachsteinkönig opened its doors to guests and employees in December 2016. Right from the start, we wanted to break new ground in terms of employee management. The concept worked and in 2018 we won the “Employer of the Year” award (Rolling Pin). But we have never rested on our laurels. We continue to work on our philosophy, because the most important thing for us is the people we work with every day. They are the heart and soul of a hotel and we therefore attach great importance to respectful cooperation.
You may not be able to see it straight away, but you can feel it when you enter the Dachsteinkönig…. a big family that masters all hurdles hand in hand….

The Familux Resort in the Salzkammergut
The Dachsteinkönig Familux Resort is a luxury hotel in Gosau, Austria, that specializes in family vacations. It offers a variety of activities for children of all ages, including an indoor playground, a movie theater, a climbing wall and an outdoor adventure playground. The hotel also has a wellness area for adults, several restaurants and spacious family rooms and suites.
It is the most innovative family hotel in Europe: our spacious resort, which opened in 2016, combines facilities for families that have been thought through down to the smallest detail with contemporary, sophisticated design. We create spaces for shared experiences and relaxing hours with the family.

Your home
We have a staff house and many apartments in the surrounding area that we would like to offer you. The staff house can be reached on foot in approx. 15 minutes. Parking spaces are available.
Our staff house was built in 2016. Each room is fully furnished and between 29m² and 59m² in size. In front of the staff house you will find a large parking lot and seating to relax. An elevator is available in the house.
The fitness room can be used 24 hours a day.

Family Restaurant
At all Familux resorts, all employees enjoy an all-inclusive culinary offer. This starts in the morning with a breakfast buffet in the respective staff restaurants. Our employees are then offered a lunch buffet with hot dishes, vegetarian dishes and a salad buffet. Here, everyone has a choice of several dishes. In the afternoon, sweet snacks and savory sandwiches are available to our employees and dinner is also served as a buffet with hot and cold dishes. It is important to mention that great importance is attached to fresh products, high-quality preparation and a rich and varied selection at every meal.
In addition to the daily meal options mentioned above, employees have access to free hot and cold drinks (tap water, soda water, cola & lemonade, fruit juices, coffee and tea specialties) and snacks such as yoghurts, fruit bowls, fresh vegetables and biscuits/biscuits throughout the day.
Salzkammergut | Gosau
Gosau is located in Upper Austria (district of Gmunden in the Traunviertel), in the Inner Salzkammergut, on the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hallstatt-Dachstein Salzkammergut. The village of Gosau winds its way through a 10km-long high valley surrounded by the magnificent mountains of the Inner Salzkammergut. The highlights of the valley are the picturesque Lake Gosau and the Dachstein with the Dachstein glacier, which mark the end of the valley with an impressive natural spectacle. In summer and winter alike, you will find an idyllic place to unwind here.
Gosau follows the course of the Gosau stream and stretches through a valley (“Gosautal”) eastwards to south-eastwards to the Gosau basin, the center of Gosau, where our Familux Resort Dachsteinkönig is located. The Hintertal leads up to the Vorderer Gosausee, a beautiful bathing lake with views of the Dachstein. Directly opposite our hotel is the Hornspitz with the Hornspitzbahn (ski operation in winter).
