As a Chef de Rang, you are responsible for the operational management of your own service station and make a significant contribution to delivering a professional, warm, and high-quality guest experience.
You work closely with the Chef de Service and the Restaurant Manager, ensure the consistent implementation of Familux service and quality standards, and maintain structure, smooth service flow, and clear team coordination within your station.
You are the first professional point of contact for your assigned service team (e.g. Commis de Rang) and, as a host, ensure attentive, professional, and service-oriented care for our guests.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Operational management of your assigned service station, including mise en place, service flow, and follow-up duties
- Professional welcoming and attentive care of guests
- Taking food and beverage orders and coordinating the entire service flow within your station
- Professional wine service in close coordination with the sommelier team, without taking on sommelier-specific advisory or sales responsibilities
- Confident and skilled serving of food and beverages
- Guiding, supporting, and quality-checking assigned team members (e.g. Commis de Rang, Demi Chef de Rang)
- Ensuring compliance with all service, quality, and hygiene standards, as well as maintaining cleanliness and order within your station
- Professional handling of guest requests and concerns within your area of responsibility
- Participation in service briefings and involvement in training sessions and internal quality initiatives
Our Expectations of You
Professional Qualifications:
- Completed vocational training in gastronomy/hospitality or many years of service experience
- Several years of experience in upscale service (4- or 5-star level)
- Solid basic knowledge of professional wine service
- Knowledge of modern service techniques and handling of food & beverages
- Confident use of POS systems (e.g. Micros) and understanding of operational processes
- Knowledge of hygiene and quality standards

Junior Sommelier (m/f/d)

As a Junior Sommelier, you are part of the Sommelier team and support the restaurant service in providing expert wine guidance through active presence in the restaurant and professional guest service.
In close collaboration with the Sommelier team and under the professional guidance of the Diploma or Head Sommelier, you help create a high-quality, authentic, and service-oriented wine experience for our guests. This position is clearly operationally focused.
Your main responsibilities:
Guest Service
- Active participation in the evening service
- Support in wine recommendations for guests, including suggesting appropriate wines to match dishes according to the defined pairing guidelines
- Presentation and service of wine, champagne, and other beverages

Supporting the Sommelier Team

Our requirements for you:
Professional Qualifications
- 2–3 years of professional experience in upscale gastronomy service
- Completed training in restaurant or hotel management preferred
- Basic knowledge of wine required; Junior Sommelier training or equivalent further education desirable

- Good German and English skills; additional languages desirable

As a Certified Sommelier, you play a key expert role within our sommelier team and make a significant contribution to the quality, professionalism, and continuity of our wine service as well as to the lived wine culture at our Familux Resort. With a strong presence in the restaurant, you ensure excellent wine consultation, active sales support, and outstanding guest experiences.

Your Main Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Independent, professional wine consultation at a high expert level
- Recommendation of suitable wines to accompany dishes based on defined pairing concepts
- Active presence during evening service with a focus on sales quality, depth of consultation, and service excellence
- Professional support of the service team in daily restaurant operations
- Care for discerning guests and handling of special guest situations
Professional Role within the Sommelier Team
- Active support and professional guidance of junior sommeliers and service staff during daily operations
- Ensuring the consistent implementation of defined wine, service, and quality standards
- Participation in in-house events, tastings, and special wine-related functions
- Acting as the professional point of contact in daily operations in the absence of the Head Sommelier
Supporting the Head Sommelier

What We Expect from You
Professional Qualifications
- Completed Certified Sommelier qualification (Austria, IHK, WSET Level 3 or equivalent) or several years of equivalent professional experience in high-end wine service
- Several years of professional experience in service and wine roles within upscale hospitality or gastronomy is required
- Excellent knowledge of service, wine, champagne, and beverages
- Very good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage
