From Gosau to Ghana
For the first time, we supported a completely new social project far away from home. Initiated by our employees, who have shown a great deal of courage, commitment and care, this project is financed and supported entirely by the company.
The pioneers for this task are our employees Marina and Szilvia, who travelled to Ghana in autumn 2018 to live with the population there for several weeks and to take on their task in a local orphanage. In Tamale they take care of abandoned, orphaned and motherless children from 0-3 years. The mission of the institution is to feed and educate these children until they reach the age of 3-5 years and can then be adopted. Alternatively, after this intensive care, they are placed in an orphanage with children of the same age, where they receive proper education and upbringing.
In this project, Marina and Szilvia support the employees of this institution, taking care of the small children, play with them and also take part in everyday life. Both will live with host families, integrated in the local society, and will have the opportunity to spend some days on holiday in Africa.
